Custom Sizing Info:

I determine what size vest to use for custom pack based on a combination of measurements provided of your chest circumference, stomach circumference, and torso length. All three of these measurements together help me to accurately determine which size vest to make your pack with.

Torso Length:

To measure your torso, you need a flexible tape measure and a friend. Tilt your chin down to find your C7 vertebra (the bony bump at the base of your neck). Place your hands on your hips to locate your iliac crest (top of your hip bone). Measure the distance between these two points along your spine.

Some people prefer their frameless packs to sit higher than their actual torso length. For these cases, please provide the torso length you actually desire with your order.

For framed packs, it is important to be as accurate as possible with your torso length measurement since this will affect where the hip belt sits and to appropriately transfer load with the frame.

Chest Circumference:

To measure chest circumference, use a flexible soft tape to measure the distance all the way around the widest part of your chest. You will provide this measurement to me on your order form.

Here is a general size guide for chest circumferences, although you will only provide the actual size number in inches/ centimeters (not S, M, L, XL):

Small = 36-38"

Medium = 38-41"

Large = 41-43"

X-Large = 43-46"

Stomach Circumference:

To measure stomach circumference, use a flexible soft tape to measure the distance all the way around your stomach at the belly button. You will provide this measurement to me on your order form.

All of this size information should be included on your custom order form, after your order is placed.
