Ultraweave

Ultraweave is constructed with an optimal blend of UHMWPE & high-tenacity polyester. The tight weave is laminated with an ECO-friendly adhesive to Challenge RUV film, creating a textile that is incredibly strong, lightweight, and waterproof to 200psi. 0.75mm film backing.

Ultra 200 TX has all of these same qualities in addition to a 70d ripstop backing with the 0.75mm waterproof film built in.

There is an additional cost to make a pack entirely of Ultraweave. The base price of the Brazos includes Ultraweave options for the back & bottom panels.

The woven Ultra line ranges from 100 to 800d.

UltraGrid

UltraGrid is a woven 210D recycled nylon fabric from Challenge Sailcloth that is highly durable, lightweight, and sustainable.

Coated with a (PFC-Free) C0 DWR on the exterior & 1500mm PU waterproof backing.

Ultragrid has a soft feel to touch and is the best fabric in terms of weight to strength ratio for "base price" fabrics we offer.

Ecopak EPX 200

Ecopak is 100% recycled polyester components, C0 (no fluorocarbons) DWR coating, 70d ripstop backing.

Each yard of Ecopak upcycles roughly 20 plastic water bottles into durable textiles.

Ecopak EPLX 200

EPLX is the same Ecopak face of 100% recycled polyester components, C0 (no fluorocarbons) DWR coating with the addition of a waterproof 0.5 mil RUV matte film backing to allow for easy waterproof taping.

Challenge's proprietary RUV film back is more abrasion resistant, wrinkles less, and is 97% UV resistant, compared to other manufacturer's "shiny laminates"

EPLX is available from 200 to 600 denier options.

UltraStretch

Lightweight, Durable, and Tear-resistant UltraStretch is a 4-way stretch mesh woven with UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) fibers.

Woven blend of Nylon 6-6, Lycra, & Ultra-PE. Coated with a C0 DWR.

Spandex

These fun spandex options can be selected for any stretch pocket area on your custom pack. These stock options are no additional cost to select for your order. All spandex gets reinforced with another 4-way stretch ripstop fabric (lavender, orange, or grey). The spandex is generally less durable then UltraStretch options, but reinforcement does help improve longevity. It does increase the overall weight of the pocket piece.
